Facial Care Routine On A Daily Basis

I am going to break the facial care routine into two parts. My daily & weekly routine. This is obviously going to be the first part. So I basically have 3 cleansing routine for my face, sounds a bit extra I know! It is really not as extra as it sounds. A lil water temp explanation before I go into details. I wash my face last when I take a shower because I allow the steam in my shower to open up my pores. After cleansing I rinse with a cooler water to close my pores. Here you go.......

                                                                  All the products I use.

1) Completely make up free day (90% of the time) & also my morning and night time routine on a regular day.

  • I wash my face with my foaming facial wash and my exfoliating gloves.
    • I have been told to stop using this gloves but I am not ready to make a switch plus I scrub really gently so I don't think I am doing a lot of damage.
  • I pat dry my face with a facial towel.
    • Do not use the same towel for your body & face. You do not want to introduce germs from the rest of your body to your face. No matter how hard you scrub your body it would still have some germs on it. The facial skin can not handle the amount of germs the rest of your body can handle (skin is more delicate on your face).
  • I apply my micellar water on my face using a cotton ball. I rub in circular motion and let it air dry for a few seconds.
  • I follow up with my day or night cream depending on what time of the day it is.
    • My day cream is an SPF cream. It protects against too much sun on my face
    • You do not need to go heavy on the cream. A little goes a long way.
    • To maximize your cream don't just pour on your palms and rub in. Dot the driest area with the cream  and massage it in and rub whatever is left on your hand on your face.

All the products used in 1st routine.

2) Light make up day: Concealer, tinted moisturizer, eyeliner & mascara.

  • I Clean my face with one wipes.
  • I wash my face with my foaming facial wash and my exfoliating gloves.
  • I massage  exfoliating facial wash into my face with just my hands and I rinse it off.
  • I pat dry my face with a facial towel.
  • I apply my micellar water on my face using a cotton ball. I rub in circular motion and let it air dry for a few seconds.
  • I follow up with my day or night cream depending on what time of the day it is.

                                                            Wipes introduced to routine.

                                                            Facial scrub introduced as well.

3) Full make up day: Primer, concealer, foundation, powder, blush. eye shadow, eyeliner & mascara (and whatever else we ladies put on our faces).

  • I Clean my face with one....mostly two wipes.
  • I wash my face with my foaming facial wash and my exfoliating gloves.
  • Apply my facial mask.
    • At this point  I look at myself in the mirror and admire my beauty because you know I have to let the mask dry and I need something to kill time lol.
    • If it is a really tiring day I do this step after washing my face in the morning the next day.

The whole point of using the mask is to unclog my pores.

I use this when it is in sight.

With all of this do I have the clearest face in the universe? No! some may think because of my answer it is pointless ( I was once part of those "some") it really is not pointless. My facial health  has gotten better since I took this conscious step of getting a better and clearer skin. If you read my previous post Introduction you would see a picture of one side of my face. My forehead and my other cheek bone pretty much looked like that. This is a picture of my face after about roughly 10 months of this routine. I think it is important to use the  same product line for all your facial care. I believe it works better if it is all produced by the same company. The simple care line is very affordable and it last for a while. I buy the products at Walmart or at asos.com (when it is on sales).

                                                                    Completely make up free!
