10 "little" Tips For A Better Face

For the ones that do not like to read "long" posts like myself, this is a short list I compiled that can help you have a clearer face. If you are interested in detailed facial care routine that has helped my skin you can check out my daily routine & my weekly routine posts.

  1. Take time to find out a good product that works for you. Note: Just because it is expensive does not mean it would work.
  2. Wash your face at least twice a day (morning & night).
  3. Always wash your face last when you shower. Allow the heat from your shower to open up your pores, wash your face and then rinse with cold water to close your pores.
  4. Use a soft glove sponge to wash your face. I don't believe in using just hands to cleanse your face. You need something that can scrub to an extent.
  5. Do not use the same towel you use for your body on you face. Get a facial towel!
  6. Pat dry your face with a towel. Do not dry in a rough manner. Pat your lotion in as well and gently pull the muscles in your face with your palm to help prevent wrinkles.
  7. Use a toner! I recommend using micellar water. It works as a toner and also cleanses your pores.
  8. Use a night cream at night. Yes there is a difference between a night  cream and a day cream (ingredients are different). I currently use the simple facial care & it is amazing for my skin!
  9. Sleep on a silk pillow case. This allows moisture to stay in your skin.
  10. Use a facial mask at least once a week. This is like your deep conditioner for your face.

  1. These beauty tips are so not for someone like me. Sure we all want that flawless skin especially on our faces but I do not like routines that I can do with out. Sometimes tho when I get the beauty feeling, I scrub my face with dudu osun and an exfoliating sponge.
Baby oil is about all I do. So long as I shower, I slap that stuff on my face and skin. I did discover the Lancomé body lotion and it's heavenly but I use it only during the cold weather

    1. I do not think this are hardcore routines that are hard to follow. Although they are fairly simple things I don't do all of this every single day or week. 95% of it is simple enough for me to follow tho. Routine is definitely difficult when you are just starting out but you get used to it and it becomes a norm. Plus I know what my face starts to look like when I neglect it so I try not to be too lazy about things.

  3. Great tips! I especially like No. 6 (gently pulling facial muscles). I, however, believe you should wash your face first because the dirt and dead skin cells will wash on your just cleaned body. You may use cold water after as a finishing touch.

    1. Your technique is reasonable. I lean forward a little while I wash my face so dirt is not really washing on my skin. I am in the shower for at least another minute or two after washing my face so whatever gets on my skin gets rinsed off.

  4. I immediately took a screenshot coz these tips are really helpful. A dermatologist once told me I should only wash my face with my hands but I find that when I use a face sponge my skin is clearer.

    1. I have been using my hands for about a month now and things are going well so far. I don't wear any make up when I wash with my hands tho.
